Vinyl – “Dante Rock”

From Tuscany to France and the Mediterranean Basin on the waves of rock and Dante: from December 15 to 18, the SudWave festival organized by the Arezzo Wave Italia Foundation returns in presence between Arezzo and Paris.

Eugenio Giani at the press conference

President of the Regione Toscana (Tuscan Regional Council) Eugenio Giani commented

“This is an initiative that we care very much about because it ensures that Dante and the younger generations can encounter in harmony. I applaud this alternative way of celebrating the 700th anniversary of the death of the Supreme Poet, an occasion that’s included as part of the Dante O Tosco initiatives. It’s well thought out and reveals Dante’s rock side: revolutionary, against the current, intellectually free and courageous, all of which are aspects that appeal to young people and which we hope will lead them to admire the author of the Divine Comedy beyond school books”.

The inauguration will be on December 15 in France with a concert by the singer Cordio who will perform at the piano at the Hotel de Galliffet in Rue Varenne 50, home to the Italian Cultural Institute. The event will be broadcast live on the event’s YouTube channel.

Elio gets “Arezzowave Station” and a pied-à-terre in Arezzo

Then, the baton passes to Arezzo for three days of music that will launch at 3pm on Thursday December 16 at the Teatro Comunale Pietro Aretino in Arezzo with a meeting with Stefano Belisari aka Elio, leader of the Elio e le Storie Tese group. The artist will be awarded with “Arezzowave Station“, the new award designed for friends of the historic Tuscan festival. As a tribute, a pied-à-terre will be available in the city, given that Elio e Le Storie Tese have reached the top of the public vote rankings acquired through social media and the Arezzowave sites where favourites from the Italian and international guests of the last 30 editions of the festival were selected.
